Writing
I write about leadership, resilience, wellness, culture, personal growth, and the lessons we often learn the hard way.
Some of these ideas come from decades of leading people and organizations. Others come from seasons of failure, transition, rebuilding, and reflection.
I’m less interested in presenting polished answers than I am in asking better questions:
What does good leadership actually look like?
How do we build cultures where people can thrive?
What happens when the title, position, or identity we relied on suddenly disappears?
How do we become stronger without becoming harder?
And how do we create lives that are successful on the outside without becoming misaligned on the inside?
What I Write About
Leadership
The decisions, habits, mistakes, and uncomfortable lessons that shape how we lead people.
Culture
How trust, clarity, communication, accountability, and belonging determine what an organization ultimately becomes.
Resilience & Reinvention
What adversity teaches us about identity, purpose, rebuilding, and beginning again.
Wellness & Alignment
Ideas from The Wellness Triangle about creating sustainable physical, nutritional, and emotional/spiritual wellness.
Personal Growth
Reflections on discipline, mindset, purpose, relationships, faith, and becoming more intentional about the life we are building.
Featured Writing
The Leadership Tax
Leadership comes with a cost — and sometimes the things required of a leader are the very things that make leadership difficult.
The Leadership Mirror
Before leaders can change their organizations, they often have to become willing to examine themselves.
The Leadership Shadow
Every leader casts a shadow. The question is whether we are intentional about what people experience inside it.
The Courage to Change Your Mind
Changing direction is not always weakness. Sometimes it is evidence that a leader is actually listening, learning, and growing.
The Underdog’s Advantage
The setbacks, rejection, and unconventional paths we try to hide may become some of our greatest sources of strength.
Fireside Leadership Chats
I’m also sharing a continuing series called Fireside Leadership Chats — short, candid conversations about things I got wrong as a leader and what those experiences taught me.
No leadership clichés. No pretending I always had the answer.
Just honest lessons from actually doing the work.
